A New Term, A New Educator: Welcome to Term Four!

Harold & Tara

Term Four is here, and we’re thrilled to introduce our brand new Life Education educator, Tara, who joins us this term!

Kia ora koutou!

Ko Tara Manning ahau.

I’m so excited to be joining the Life Education whānau as a Healthy Harold Educator here in Rotorua!

I’m a registered teacher with over 13 years of experience in education. I’ve always been passionate about helping tamariki grow in confidence, wellbeing and their understanding of themselves and others.

I’m really looking forward to getting out into our kura, meeting tamariki, kaiako and whānau, and creating fun, engaging learning experiences with Harold. I’m especially excited to be part of a kaupapa that supports tamariki to make healthy choices and develop important skills for life.

I’m based in the beautiful Bay of Plenty and feel very lucky to be starting this next chapter with Life Education Trust Rotorua.

To kick things off, Tara will be heading to Kaingaroa Forest School. We can’t wait to see the tamariki step into our mobile classroom and meet their new educator.

What We Do

Life Education supports learning across Health, Science and Social Sciences, helping tamariki build the knowledge and confidence to make healthy choices now and as they grow. Our lessons are hands-on, engaging and tailored to each age group.

Our Key Strands

  • Food & Nutrition: exploring what our bodies need to grow, learn and thrive

  • Human Biology: discovering how our bodies work, from the inside out

  • Identity & Resilience: building self-worth, confidence and the tools to bounce back

  • Relationships & Communities: understanding how to be a good friend and a positive part of our communities

  • Substances: learning to make safe, informed decisions

Looking Ahead

We’re so excited for what Term Four holds and for all the learning, laughter and curiosity ahead. A huge thank you to the schools, whānau and supporters who make this mahi possible.
